We have developed a Computer Skills course to give you an understanding of all the basic skills you need to use a PC and it’s relevant software.

Keyboard and Mouse Skills

You will learn how to hold the Mouse correctly and how to use it to move the Mouse Pointer (Cursor) around the screen of your computer (Desktop).

The Mouse is used to activate commands on the computer and to open up 'drop-down' menus which allow you to select actions for your computer. In Keyboard Skills we familiarise you with all the features of the Keyboard, describing what all the buttons and keys mean and we teach you some useful 'shortcuts' which save you from using the Mouse.
